A brand with heritage

We recently had the privilege of developing the brand for the 175th Anniversary Year of the International Cotton Association (ICA)– the world’s leading international trade association and arbitral body.

The celebrations took place over 20th and 21st October 2016, with over 550 delegates from all over the world meeting in Liverpool to celebrate and do business, which culminated in a spectacular gala dinner at the magnificent St Georges Hall.

For those who have visited our new home in the Cotton Exchange, you may be aware that our office was in fact the old Boardroom for the Liverpool Cotton Association (now the ICA) and we have given the space a new lease of life in the last 18 months.

So, with this connection in mind, it was an honour to be asked to develop the brand that would reach out and invite the world to the 175th year celebrations.

Our creative work focused on developing an identity and positioning line that spoke of the ICA’s clear link to the city of Liverpool, with gold foiling adding a sense of luxury and elegance. Our work was then applied across a wide range of activity including a unique and personalised invitation to the gala dinner, which we produced on behalf of the ICA.
